Description:
Adds a single dimensioning component to the database. The dimensioning is
defined by the
angle of the dimension line, a
point on the dimension line, the
first point and the
second point to be dimensioned. The
horizontal, vertical and angular dimensioning only differ by the dimension
line angle.
If no control points are selected then the command always results in the
creation of a single dimensioning component as decribed. If, however,
control points are selected then they are automatically dimensioned. If
only one cotrol point is selected then the second point to be dimensioned is
requested. If more than two control points are selected then a chain
of single dimensioning components is automatically created. If a selected
control point was dimensioned then the dimensioned point and the
dimensioning component are linked. A modification of a dimensioned control
point automatically results in the update of the associated dimensioning.
A dimensioning component can be modified intuitively by it's control points:
- Dimensioned start point
- Dimensioned end point
- Placement of the dimension line
- Distance between extension line and dimensioned start point
- Distance between extension line and dimensioned end point
The complete set of dimensioning parameters can be modified via the generic
Change Features Dialog.
