CADEMIA Download
CADEMIA software is published under an open source license and is available in two editions:
1. CADEMIA Community Edition
The Community Edition is the freely downloadable version of this innovative new CAD software. It is supported by an active group of developers. CADEMIA Community Edition uses the GPL License and is mainly designed for private use and teaching purposes. It contains all important functionalities. Questions and problems concerning this edition will be answered by the open source developers and active users in the forum or the faq part of this website.
2. CADEMIA Professional Edition
CADEMIA Professional Edition is available for users who want to use it on a professional level in their daily work and expect first-class support services and stability. The CADEMIA Core-Team answers questions and helps with the integration of new functionalities or the migration into existing environments. This version will be available soon.
CADEMIA Community Edition Download:
Here you can download the CADEMIA Community Edition for different Operating Systems. We offer special versions for MS Windows and Apple OS X. The zip-file for all other platforms contains an executable JAR file as well as a help file which has to be in the same folder as the JAR file. In order to start CADEMIA, just double click the JAR file.
IMPORTANT: Java SE Development Kit (JDK) or Java SE Runtime Environment (JRE) Version 5.0 and higher must be installed on the computer in order to run CADEMIA.

CADEMIA requires Java 6 SE (Standard Edition). Apple provides Java 6 since Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard only for Intel Macs (not for PowerPC)
